About The Position
Join our team of big mountain adventurers at Crystal Mountain, the largest ski resort in Washington! As a Lift Operations Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our lift operations while providing an exceptional guest experience. This position is not just a job; it's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the beauty of the National Forest and the thrill of the ski industry. You will assist Lift Operators at multiple lifts, identifying and delegating tasks, and ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Your leadership will be key in training new employees and maintaining the overall appearance of lift stations. You will also be responsible for crowd control at lift lines, ensuring that guests have a pleasant experience while waiting for their turn on the slopes. In this role, you will be expected to perform all duties of a Lift Operator safely and efficiently. This includes setting up, running, and breaking down multiple lifts daily, as well as developing a working knowledge of each lift and its operational area. Your enthusiasm for the outdoors and commitment to guest satisfaction will shine through as you interact with guests and provide them with the best possible experience. This position requires a self-motivated individual who can maximize the use of time and resources while leading a team of Lift Operators. You will need to be dependable and able to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The physical demands of this job include the ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds occasionally, and to work for extended periods standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking. You will be working outside in extreme cold and changing weather conditions, so comfort with heights and riding chairlifts is essential.
