Position Summary : Technicians will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, Inspections, and repairs to Schweitzer lift facilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum education required - High school diploma, or GED equivalent
  • Minimum time in related position - Completion of an apprentice program or at least 2 years documented prior lift maintenance experience.
  • License Needed - Valid, insurable driver’s license.
  • Background Check Required: Yes
  • Driver Verification Required: Yes
  • Drug Screen: Yes

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer NDT and other job-relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Technicians are primary responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled inspections, services, and repairs to Schweitzer lift facilities.
  • They will do so at the direction of the lift maintenance mgr., and lead technician. These include Daily, Monthly 600 hr. and annual procedures intended to meet manufacture and code requirements.
  • The technician will work individually and unsupervised within their skill set.
  • Work within teams to accomplish departmental task and goals.
  • Technicians are responsible for finding issues with our lift systems through detailed inspection, and repairing them prior to them becoming safety issues and or causing interruption of lift service.
  • As a technician you will be required to maintain documentation and record keeping of all work performed.
  • Working closely with other Mt. departments to ensure timely, safe, uninterrupted operation of lifts
  • Proper and concise communication when weather or mechanical issues arise.
