About The Position

Lift Maintenance – Mountain Creek Location: Vernon, NJ Reporting to: Lift Maintenance Manager SNOW Partners Mission Statement: “To Enhance the Lives of our Team, Guests and Partners by Building Lasting Connections.” About Mountain Creek: Mountain Creek, a four-season resort, offering skiing/snowboarding, bike park, waterpark, weddings, mountain coaster, restaurants, and lodge. How the Lift Maintenance Technician works with the Team: This Full Time Year Round position will assist the lift Maintenance Technicians with regular maintenance of aerial and surface chairlifts to ensure safe and reliable transportation of guests throughout the year

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School education
  • 1-3 years mechanical experience
  • Ability to communicate constructively, consistently & openly with multiple people, verbally and in writing
  • Adequate selection of tools
  • Must be able to work at high elevations in below freezing temperature
  • High level of organization
  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Able to operate all lifts: fixed-grip, detachable, surface, tows and gondola. Posses a working knowledge how chairlifts functions and operates
  • Ability to perform start up checks on all lifts and tows
  • Maintain accurate paperwork, checklists & work orders Ensure all paperwork (monthly, daily, annual) filled out properly
  • Ability to work at high elevations with full knowledge of climbing procedures, become certified climber
  • Ability to operate snowmobile & 4x4 Knowledge of trails, travel routes and base areas
  • Ability to assist with rigging
  • Safety awareness is a necessity
  • Ability to construct ramps at all lifts
  • Ability to operate lift on Standby by in case of mechanical or electrical problem
  • Ability to identify tower problems and relay information to technicians.
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals
  • Full understanding of OSHA lockout/tag out procedures
  • Develop understanding of safe rigging methods
  • Ability to complete all tasks including necessary paperwork
  • Basic understanding of brake systems (service, emergency and rollback)
  • Ability to work in inclement weather.
  • Ability to disassemble, inspect, and reassemble sheaves as necessary.
