About The Position

This position is for a seasonal part-time Lift Maintenance Mechanic Lead. The Lift Maintenance Mechanic Lead will lead the Lift Maintenance team in the daily maintenance and operations of Hoedown Hill’s surface lifts by established Hoedown Hill Lift Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures, Colorado Tramway regulations, and safety protocols. This is both a mechanical & guest-facing position with a focus on providing an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Two years of management experience
  • Approximately 35 to 40+ hours weekly are expected during the season
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to identify problems and safety issues, and the ability to execute resolutions

Responsibilities

  • Leads commitment to providing a safe experience for guests and team members by adhering to all Hoedown Hill Standard Operating Procedures and safety policies.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to punctuality and maintains consistent attendance to fulfill daily responsibilities.
  • Learns and performs job tasks in all activities on Hoedown Hill.
  • Leads the HDH Lift Maintenance team through all daily operations, including position assignments, break schedules, and ensuring all expectations of operations, guest experience, and safety are met.
  • Leads compliance with all departmental HDH Lift Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Leads the team in maintaining all HDH surface lifts.
  • Leads the daily startup and shutdown of all HDH surface lifts in accordance with HDH standard operating procedures.
  • Verifies all daily safety/lift inspections and checklists are completed on time & correctly.
  • Leads the maintenance of proper lift documentation.
  • Consistently expresses a friendly, congenial, and helpful attitude while effectively providing guests and fellow employees with assistance, information, and directions.
  • Provides exceptional guest experience: From operating activities to answering questions and helping guests navigate the experiences safely.
  • Understands LOTO awareness & confined space entry.
  • Works as a team player with co-workers and in conjunction with other departments as needed.
  • Anticipates guest needs, responds promptly, and acknowledges all guests throughout the day.
  • Assists with special events and large groups.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all departmental HDH Lift Maintenance Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
