About The Position

The Lift Operations Attendant position at Wisp Resort involves loading, monitoring, and observing the unloading of skiers from the lifts while providing verbal instructions in a friendly and courteous manner. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests at the resort, which operates year-round as a ski, golf, and recreational destination. Employees may be required to perform additional duties outside of the job description due to the nature of the resort business, and the hours of operation are 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, unless the company sees ability without minimum education requirement.
• Previous ski area experience is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Complete a two-day Lift Training Course.
• Basic English language skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact and converse intelligently with guests and other employees in a positive, helpful manner.
• Assist in the care and appearance of all lift-related equipment.
• Support harmony and goodwill in the Mountain Operations Department and with all other staff and Resort departments.
• Participate in lift operation and safety-specific training prior to starting work.
• Familiarize with all facilities at Wisp Resort, including locations, hours of operation, and knowledge of rates.
• Assist in shoveling snow to maintain the condition of lift mazes and loading/unloading platforms.
• Maintain a clean workplace and assist in picking up trash in parking areas, around buildings, and on the slopes.
• Give verbal reminders/warnings to skiers who do not abide by the Rules of Conduct.
• Exhibit the ability to perform repetitive routine tasks while remaining alert at all times.
