About The Position

Lift Operations staff are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned chair lifts. This includes assisting guests during loading and unloading, maintaining clean and orderly workstations, conducting snow removal, and monitoring environmental and mechanical conditions. This position plays a key role in guest experience and safety, requiring strong communication skills, situational awareness, and attention to detail. Successful candidates are approachable, safety-minded, and thrive in outdoor, team-oriented environments. All responsibilities must be performed in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned chair lift safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure the safety of all guests and employees while loading, riding, and unloading lifts.
  • Help guests and employees load lifts properly and comfortably.
  • Maintain ramps, signs, mazes, and lift stations in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
  • Maintain an operational log book as required by ANSI-B77 4.3.5.1.
  • Keep lift stations clean and orderly throughout the day.
  • Monitor weather and mechanical conditions and notify maintenance of unusual observations.
  • Attend and participate in required Lift Attendant training sessions.
  • Cooperate with other departments in a helpful and professional manner.
  • Assist in training other Lift Attendants.
  • Shovel and clear snow from lift loading and unloading areas, including chair seats.
  • Assist ticket scanner with greeting and scanning guests, verifying skier counts, and promoting proper lift use.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to scanning issues, hot passes, and emergency contact protocols.
  • Provide clear instructions and ensure guest understanding of lift safety procedures.
