About The Position

The LIFT Maintenance position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repair, modifications, and other maintenance of aircraft, components, and related equipment in accordance with standards and regulations. The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities. The role involves working both inside and outside the hangar, troubleshooting aircraft systems, executing maintenance work orders, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Experience using a computer to look up information and input data.
  • Ability to work both in a team setting and individually.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an A&P mechanic or airline experience.
  • Avionics experience.
  • Experience with General Aviation piston aircraft.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repair, modifications, and other maintenance of aircraft, components, and related equipment.
  • Comply with 14 CFR, manufacturer specifications, company policy, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot all aircraft systems and execute maintenance work orders.
  • Use tools, equipment, and test apparatus necessary to complete work according to industry practices.
  • Verify that all calibrated tooling is current before use.
  • Ensure materials and parts used are serviceable.
  • Adhere to material handling and control procedures.
  • Evaluate the area and equipment for safety before performing maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Update Supervisor on work progress and review paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Complete all internal company forms and maintenance records.
  • Provide coaching and on-the-job training as directed.
  • Participate in shift meetings and briefings.
  • Submit suggestions for operational procedure changes.
  • Access company intranet for manuals and procedures.
  • Adhere to recurrent training and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
  • Read and acknowledge maintenance newsletters and company emails.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
