About The Position

The Lifestyles Coordinator at Leland Management is responsible for creating and coordinating high-quality activities and events that promote residents' socialization, education, and overall well-being. This full-time position requires a proactive approach to planning and executing various programs while maintaining open communication with residents and supporting community engagement. The role involves administrative tasks related to these activities and requires a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with community members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • 1 year of experience coordinating events and conducting group activities (preferred).
  • 1 year of customer service experience (preferred).
  • Experience working with senior populations or other special populations (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Client-driven with a focus on meeting residents' needs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Empathetic and compassionate towards residents.
  • Passion for community service.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and executing activities, events, and programs.
  • Keeping activities and events fresh and innovative to achieve resident participation.
  • Maintaining open communication through Resident Surveys and Activity Questionnaires.
  • Supporting resident-led activities, groups, and clubs.
  • Encouraging resident socialization and participation to promote a positive community environment.
  • Participating in activities and events when possible.
  • Assisting the Entertainment and Events Committee in purchasing and coordinating required items.
  • Maintaining an inventory checklist of all supplies and materials.
  • Providing input into the development of budgets for planned events and activities.
  • Understanding and applying safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintaining participation and attendance records for activities or events.
  • Taking photographs for use in social media, newsletters, and videos.
  • Assisting with the creation and production of the monthly calendar of activities and events.
  • Maintaining the clubhouse calendar for club meetings and rentals.
  • Contributing to website content, newsletters, and other communications as needed.
  • Handling vendor contracts for shows and uploading them to the website.
  • Overseeing and processing invoices from sponsorships, events, and vendors.
  • Assisting in scheduling and hosting new resident meetings to assess interests and community living goals.
  • Recruiting and training volunteers from within the community.
  • Managing the volunteer schedule for consistent participation.
  • Assisting with the interviewing process for qualified instructors and transportation companies.
  • Creating partnerships with residents, vendors, businesses, and organizations.
