About The Position

WGN-TV is currently seeking a Producer to join our lifestyle show “Daytime Chicago”. Responsibilities: Preparing stories/ideas/rundowns for daily show Producing segments and one-hour lifestyle shows Booking and coordinating guests for segments Be on headset and oversee studio during one-hour live shows Collaborate with WGN-TV’s large sales staff and diverse list of clients Schedule (taping times and corresponding air dates for) sponsored content Work with Executive Producer/Producer/Director to plan programs Write copy for web and air Contribute to WGN+ programming in a variety of areas Qualifications: Three-Five (3-5) years of experience working on a lifestyle show required (experience in Live TV preferred) Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in communications/related field or equivalent experience Line producing and desktop editing skills Excellent organizational skills required to complete tasks on deadline while planning programs far in advance Experience working with clients and sales staff Must have strong communication, planning, and collaborative skills. Ability to function under deadline pressure. Familiar with ENPS and Adobe Premiere Pro This is not an entry‑level position. Requirements

Three-Five (3-5) years of experience working on a lifestyle show required (experience in Live TV preferred)
Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in communications/related field or equivalent experience
Line producing and desktop editing skills
Excellent organizational skills required to complete tasks on deadline while planning programs far in advance
Experience working with clients and sales staff
Must have strong communication, planning, and collaborative skills.
Ability to function under deadline pressure.
Familiar with ENPS and Adobe Premiere Pro
