About The Position

The Lifestyle Manager is responsible for overseeing the production and coordination of various events, ensuring that all activities are executed within budget and on schedule. This role involves organizing resident activities, managing special events, and collaborating with other departments to enhance community engagement and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience as an Activities Coordinator or in Event Planning.
  • Strong background in entertainment planning.
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management.
  • Ability to work with vendors and crews to organize events timely.
  • Strong administrative skills and excellent customer service knowledge.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, office management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in community engagement or resident services.
  • Knowledge of event marketing and promotion strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Organize all resident activities, including dances, theme parties, holiday celebrations, and exercise programs.
  • Conduct assessments to determine resident interests in activities.
  • Supervise the development of new and existing clubs based on resident interests.
  • Document resident participation in social and recreational programs.
  • Manage all areas of special events, games, and entertainment.
  • Supervise catering for functions and oversee decorating and promotions as needed.
  • Coordinate operational and technical requirements for clubhouse activities, including lighting and sound.
  • Schedule shows, holiday parties, and special events, maintaining a community calendar.
  • Oversee the layout and distribution of the In-House News Publication and monthly newsletters.
  • Post meeting notices on electronic message boards and bulletin boards.
  • Order and display event and show posters.
  • Recommend and review policies for facility use by associations and leagues.
  • Arrange for athletic events and oversee game management.
  • Manage the activity budget to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Plan special theme days or months around holidays and recognized days.
  • Solicit and secure sponsorships and funding from local businesses.
  • Assist other departments as directed by the Community Association Manager.
  • Perform other duties as required.
