About The Position

Internships are available for qualified students studying journalism, video production, and other communication degrees at WDTN-TV in Dayton, OH. These internships offer meaningful educational and work experiences designed to meet the academic and career goals of the Intern. The Intern does not replace or displace any employee of the Company and will receive direct and close supervision by an appropriate supervisor. This part-time paid internship is available through the Ohio Association of Broadcasters and is ideal for students interested in practical experience in broadcast and/or digital journalism. Upon completion, the student will be evaluated by the internship supervisor and asked to write a brief summary of the experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be a legal resident of Ohio
Must be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary school in Ohio
Must be a college junior/senior with multiple journalism classes already completed
Available for 20 hours per week for approximately 8 weeks
Available during airtime of Living Dayton, 12pm-1pm EST
Possess strong communication skills
Flexible in performing a variety of assignments and tasks

Perform a variety of assignments and tasks
Abide by all safety rules and procedures of Company
Exert best efforts in receiving training and cooperate with and follow the instructions of employees of Company
Maintain strictly the confidences of Company, the customers of Company, all information or data received regarding Company and any of its trade secrets or any other confidential business information received by the Student
