About The Position

The position involves teaching assigned Lifelong Learning Non-credit enrichment courses, which may include evening or weekend courses and alternative delivery systems such as Zoom, Hybrid, Blended Online, and Online. The role may require travel and teaching at other HutchCC locations. Responsibilities also include planning, implementing, and sponsoring appropriate activities to supplement the courses, maintaining records and files as requested by HutchCC staff, and fostering positive professional relations with the community. The instructor is expected to respond to emails and communications promptly, arrive on time for work, and comply with HutchCC policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Teaching qualifications may vary depending on the course(s) hired to teach.
• Relevant work experience, degree, industry-recognized credential/certification, professional development, and achievements may be considered for qualification requirements.
• Teaching experience.
• Ability and willingness to teach via alternative delivery methods.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective professional relationships.
• Ability to communicate professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Visual acuity to view a computer terminal.
• Ability to use appropriate judgment and apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations.
• Ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position.
