About The Position

Under the supervision of the Head Lifeguard and Assistant Aquatics Coordinator, performs basic lifeguard duties, general pool maintenance, and customer service.

Requirements

• Basic lifeguard skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical water test indicating competence of rescuing skills.
• Ability to stay alert and attentive and assert good judgment.
• Ability to remain patient and understanding in dealing with patrons of all ages.
• Ability to maintain open lines of communication.

Nice To Haves

• Current CPR certification.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Current Lifeguarding certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors patrons.
• Provides explanations and clarifications of aquatic procedures.
• Enforces aquatic rules and regulations.
• Encourages awareness of aquatic rules and regulations.
• Rescues swimmers in distress.
• Administers First Aid and/or CPR, if needed.
• Assist with general pool maintenance and clean-up of aquatics facility and restrooms.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
