About The Position

As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of patrons in the pool area. This includes surveillance of the pool, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety rules. You will work as part of a team to perform various tasks, including first aid and cleaning, while effectively communicating with both staff and patrons. Your ability to stay alert and recognize when someone is in distress in the water is crucial to this role.

Requirements

• A minimum of 16 years of age
• Ability to pass a pre-lifeguard training swim test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance of patrons in the pool and respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Perform preventive lifeguarding and enforce rules to keep patrons safe.
• Stay alert to recognize when a patron is struggling in the water.
• Ability to work as a part of a team to perform tasks (first aid, cleaning, etc.) and to effectively respond in an emergency.
• Effectively communicate with staff and patrons.
• Ability to listen to and implement feedback.
