About The Position

The Tuxedo Club seeks an experienced, enthusiastic and customer service-driven Lifeguard to join our team for the season!
The primary responsibility of the Lifeguard is to ensure the safety of all members and guests in the pool area
This job description in no way states or implies that this position is limited to the aforementioned duties. You may be required to perform other job-related duties assigned by your Supervisor, or Director.

Requirements

• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
• Current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED
• Must be able to enforce rules and regulations in a professional manner
• Must be able to work varied shifts which include weekdays, weekends & holidays
• Team player that is energetic, professional, and has a positive attitude
• Must practice proper body mechanics & use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury
• Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day, & push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
• Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at at time

Nice To Haves

• Current WSY certification preferred
• 1 year Lifeguard experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all members and guests in the pool area
• Ensure all NYS Health & Safety Standards and Codes are followed by maintaining proper balances of pool chemicals and cleanliness of all aquatic operations
• Complete daily operations forms for opening/closing of each shift
• Assist Pool Director with all documentation for NYS and The Tuxedo Club and all ad-hoc projects
