As a Lifeguard, the primary role is to ensure the safety of all guests by maintaining constant surveillance of the pool or water park area, monitoring for distress or unsafe behavior, and providing emergency care when necessary. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness of the pool and water park areas, documenting incidents through detailed activity reports, and attending scheduled in-service training to stay updated on safety protocols. Lifeguards are expected to be team players and assist colleagues as needed. The company emphasizes core values of integrity, passion, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • Lifeguard must be an expert swimmer, be in excellent physical condition, and able to react quickly in emergency situations.
  • Strong ability to recognize unsafe and hazardous situations and react properly.
  • Will be required to enter the water, participate in regular in-water trainings and swim on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion and lift and/or move up to/over 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to work in wet, humid, and outdoor weather conditions and extreme heat and sun exposure.
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, and AED.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of all guests by maintaining constant surveillance, continuously scanning the pool or water park area, and monitoring guests for signs of distress or unsafe behavior.
  • Render emergency care and, if necessary, contact emergency medical services to ensure prompt and appropriate assistance for guests in need.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the pool and water park areas to create a pleasant and sanitary environment for the guests.
  • Maintain detailed activity reports to document incidents, observations, and any actions taken during the shift.
  • Attend scheduled in-service training to stay updated on the latest safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Be a team player and assist your colleagues with their duties as required.
