About The Position
Avila Golf and Country Club, one of Tampa’s premier private clubs, is seeking enthusiastic, Red Cross Certified Lifeguards to join their aquatics team. This is a seasonal opportunity, running from May to October, to work in a welcoming, low-key environment while ensuring the safety and enjoyment of members and guests. The club offers flexible scheduling for both part-time and full-time positions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of related experience
- Red Cross Lifeguard Certified (or equivalent)
- CPR and First Aid trained for the professional rescuer
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Flexible with hours, including early mornings, weekends and holidays
- Strong swimmer with quick reflexes and excellent judgment
Nice To Haves
- serving experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Lead swimming activities and ensure a safe, fun pool environment
- Monitor swimmers and enforce pool rules and safety policies
- Administer first aid, CPR and water rescues when necessary
- Inspect and maintain pool facilities and equipment
- Assist with swim lessons and keep pool records up-to-date
- Support the team in keeping the pool area clean and safe
- Involvement in Summer Camp, ages 4-12 during the peak weeks of summer
