About The Position

HealthFitness has a great opportunity for part-time (morning shift) Lifeguards at our large client corporate client site located in Racine, WI! Responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests. Lifeguard - Racine, WI Part-time - up to 19 hours/week Schedule: Requesting morning availability i.e. 5:15a-9a OR 9a-12:30p

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
• All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of: 500 yard swim. Active, Passive, Submerged rescues. Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water. Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
• Other duties as needed/assigned.
