About The Position

Ensure the overall safety and satisfaction of all pool guests. Maintain a clean and welcoming pool environment, including chairs, tables, and the pool itself, both prior to opening and at closing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (including First Aid & CPR).
  • 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred.
  • Customer service experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of basic hotel operations and guest service standards.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and resolve practical problems.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Able to walk and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
  • Continuous use of hearing, vision (including near vision and depth perception), and verbal communication.
  • Must be able to operate all equipment related to the role, including mountain bikes and point-of-sale systems.
  • Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (includes First Aid & CPR)

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests and members, provide towels, monitor pool safety, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain full knowledge of retail items and bike rentals. Act as cashier and manage payment and release forms.
  • Set up and break down pool furniture, umbrellas, bikes, and equipment as directed by management.
  • Perform regular walk-throughs to ensure pool area cleanliness and organization.
  • Enforce safety standards in and around pool areas.
  • Assist in the execution of poolside activities and events for guests and members.
  • Inspect the pool area regularly, replacing or repairing equipment and furnishings as needed (e.g., umbrellas, chairs).
  • Adhere to and enforce all pool and hotel safety rules.
  • Prioritize and fulfill guest requests promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with hotel operations and policies.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the manager.
