About The Position

The Downtown YMCA is Now Hiring for Lifeguards for the pools at Pearl Cohn & Glencliff High School
Position Type: Part-time
Pay Range starts at $14 per hour (or more depending on experience)
Shifts: Days and Times vary by location (Pearl Cohn and/or Glencliff High School)

Hey there water lovers! We’re looking for enthusiastic Lifeguards to join our Aquatics Team. If you’re ready to keep the Pearl Cohn High School and/or Glencliff High School pools safe, have fun while working, and make an impact, this could be the job for you!

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 16
• No lifeguarding experience? No worries! We’ll provide all required training and certifications, including the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
• Ability to swim at an intermediate level (check out our Prerequisite Skills Evaluation)

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, risk-free environment for all swimmers.
• Enforce pool rules (politely but firmly).
• Build relationships with members while ensuring they enjoy their time in the water.
• Maintain a clean and safe swimming area.
