Performs lifesaving skills, provides instructional swimming lessons to children and adults, and performs routine maintenance on pool and pool facilities. Monitors all activities within the pool facility. Maintains flexible schedule for rotation to various pool sites.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Physically able to perform lifesaving skills, pool maintenance, record keeping, sanitation, and instruction. Must be able to perform swimming pool duties as required, such as: 1. Maintaining swimming pool facilities 2. Sanitation daily 3. Vacuuming 4. Filtration 5. Maintaining pool grounds indoor/outdoors 6. Other duties specified by the Aquatic Supervisor Must be able to communicate and work well with others. Must be responsible, reliable, and prompt. Must be able to participate and attend workshops. Must establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers and the general public. Assists in maintaining good communication between staff, visitors, and other business contacts. Must follow all rules of telephone courtesy in all telephone communications. Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use. Performs other duties as assigned.
