Lifeguard (part-time)
About The Position
Join Our Team as a Part-Time Lifeguard in Anna, OH! Whether you're a student looking for a flexible side job, a retiree wanting to stay active and involved, or anywhere in between, HealthFitness has a great opportunity for you! We're hiring Part-Time Lifeguards (approximately 6–15 hrs/week) with Saturday availability . Weekday shifts (Mon–Fri) are also be available. Facility Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM Enjoy a supportive team environment while helping keep our pool safe and welcoming for everyone. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must have or be willing to obtain an American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification. Site may be able to provide Lifeguard certification training at discounted rate.
- Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
- Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
- Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
- All lifeguards must be able to perform basic lifeguard skills consisting of: 300 yard swim. Active, Passive, Submerged rescues. Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water. Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
- Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
- Respond appropriately to any emergency.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training.
- Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by cleaning and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
- Maintain a professional attitude.
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
