At Tamarack Day Camp, being a lifeguard is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to play a vital role in keeping campers safe while being part of an energetic, supportive camp community. Our lifeguards are essential members of the Tamarack team. You’ll help ensure a safe, fun, and well-supervised aquatic environment while building responsibility, leadership, and lifesaving skills that last a lifetime. Required Commitment To be employed as a Lifeguard at Tamarack Day Camp, you must be available for all 39 days of camp : June 29th – August 21st Monday through Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM No weekends If you are unable to commit to the entire camp season, this position will not be the right fit.

Requirements

• High school juniors or seniors, college students, or educators
• Strong swimming ability and comfort in an aquatic environment
• Reliable, responsible, and attentive individuals
• Ability to remain focused and calm in a safety-critical role
• A genuine interest in working with children and being part of a team

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant supervision of swimmers during all pool activities
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures at all times
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
• Assist with swim instruction and water-based activities as needed
• Work collaboratively with the pool director and camp leadership
• Serve as a positive role model to campers and staff
