HealthFitness is looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) Lifeguard to join our dynamic team at our client site in Marysville, Ohio (OH) . Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
- Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
- Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
- Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
- All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of: 500 yard swim. Active, Passive, Submerged rescues. Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water. Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
- Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
- Respond appropriately to any emergency.
- Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training.
- Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
- Maintain a professional attitude.
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
