Lifeguard The Club at Tartan Fields Position Summary The Lifeguard at The Club at Tartan Fields is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all members and guests using the aquatic facilities. This role requires constant vigilance, a strong understanding of water safety procedures, and a commitment to delivering a positive, family-friendly member experience.

Requirements

Current Lifeguard Certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)
Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
Ability to swim proficiently and perform rescues as required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations
Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

Maintain active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas at all times
Enforce pool rules and regulations in a professional and courteous manner
Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including rescues and first aid situations
Administer CPR, AED, and First Aid when necessary
Monitor swimmer behavior to prevent unsafe activities
Perform routine pool safety checks and report any hazards or maintenance concerns
Maintain accurate incident and accident reports as required
Assist with opening and closing procedures of the pool facility
Provide exceptional service and interact positively with members and guests
Support pool events, swim lessons, and special programs as needed
