About The Position

The Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Bureau of Parks and Lands Division, is recruiting to fill a Seasonal Full Time Lifeguard Supervisor position (11 weeks), located at Range Pond State Park. This is protective services work in directing the activities of lifeguards responsible for enforcing beach rules and regulations and protecting the safety of visitors to state swimming areas. Work includes arranging work schedules and instructing and training lifeguards. Work is performed under general supervision and in accordance with park rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • At least seventeen (17) years of age
  • Successfully completed the Lifeguard Competency Test within the last year
  • Possession of current/valid Lifeguard Certification
  • Current/valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
  • Current/valid First Aid Certification
  • Completion of Lifeguard Academy
  • Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or have legal authority to work in the U.S.
  • Job offers to a new hire are conditional upon verification of credentials, criminal record, and driver’s license check if applicable
  • Three references must be made available at the interview to include at least one work-related reference
