About The Position

The Lake Community YMCA is seeking qualified Lifeguards to ensure the safety of all swimmers and individuals in the aquatic area. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a safe environment and being prepared to respond to emergencies. Lifeguards will be expected to attend mandatory in-service trainings and demonstrate a positive attitude while working as part of a team.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of age
• Current YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding certification
• Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certification
• Willingness to be trained if not currently certified

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of all swimmers and people in the aquatic area
• Attend mandatory in-service trainings
• Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player
• Be rescue ready at all times during shift
