The position involves enforcing regulations and protecting life at a City pool. The employee will supervise and schedule the work assignments of part-time and temporary lifeguards and/or other part-time and temporary staff as needed. Responsibilities may include instructing and organizing classes on water safety, life-saving procedures, and swimming. The employee will assist with in-service training for aquatics personnel and must possess effective communication skills, both orally and in writing. The role requires patrolling and observing the pool area to ensure appropriate use by patrons, rescuing patrons in distress, and administering Standard First Aid and/or CPR as needed.
