About The Position

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking individuals aged 18 and older to serve as lifeguards. This position offers the opportunity to develop essential skills such as communication, leadership, and responsibility that will benefit you throughout your life. As a lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of all pool participants and maintaining a clean and organized pool environment.

Requirements

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills
• Age 18+

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing
