Lifeguard and Swim Instructors

At the Fry Family YMCA located in Naperville, IL, we are excited to announce openings for Lifeguards and Swim Instructors. With a legacy of keeping people safe around water for 166 years, we are looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about water safety and community engagement. This position offers the opportunity to work as a lifeguard, a swim instructor, or both, providing a flexible work environment that accommodates various schedules. The starting salary for this role is $16.20 per hour, and we are proud to offer a $300 sign-on bonus upon the achievement of your lifeguard certification, provided you remain an active employee in this role at the time of payout. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to members, program participants, and guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment at our aquatic facilities. Your role will include supervising the pool area, administering first aid and CPR when necessary, and performing water rescues using appropriate techniques and equipment. Additionally, you will participate in ongoing training to enhance your skills and knowledge in water safety.
