POSITION SUMMARY: The YMCA of Southern Nevada is looking for lifeguards and swim instructors to join our team this summer! In this position you will monitor activities in swimming areas to keep participants safe and provide lessons to people learning how to swim. If you are not yet lifeguard certified, no problem. All certifications can be obtained through the YMCA after applying. This is a part-time in-person position. We are currently hiring for seasonal positions at all YMCA locations. Training and Employment Dates: Mandatory lifeguard training will be held from May 15th - May 19th, 2026. Seasonal swim instructor training will be held twice, once on May 2nd and May 9th, and a second time from May 26th - 28th. Seasonal employment runs from May 15th - September 26th. There may be an opportunity to begin working sooner at one of our indoor pool locations. Seasonal employees may take up to two weeks of vacation during the summer season.
