About The Position

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed and assure that quality dietary services are provided on a daily basis. Responsible for maintaining the dietary department in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. As a Dietary Aide, you will support daily dietary operations to ensure high-quality food service in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Your role is essential in promoting the health and well-being of our participants through nutritious meal preparation and service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of food service experience in healthcare preferred
  • Experience working with elderly or frail populations (or willingness to train)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, or ASL)
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to change
  • Must meet state health requirements prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and service following sanitary regulations and internal policies
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment
  • Support inventory management and restocking
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet participant needs
  • Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives
  • Uphold confidentiality and safety standards
