About The Position
The Life Skills Teacher at Nola Wilson Elementary School is responsible for providing special education students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The teacher will develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to match student ability levels. The role may involve working in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacities as assigned. The position requires collaboration with students, parents, and staff to develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and implement instructional strategies that accommodate individual student needs.
