About The Position

The Arc Nature Cost is hiring PRN (On-Call) Life Skills Instructors. The Life Skills Development Instructor provides direct care, support and behavioral modification services for individuals (customers) with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Requirements

• A valid Florida driver license and clean driving record
• Minimum age of 21
• Minimum 3 years' driving experience
• High school diploma or GED
• English language skills in reading/comprehension, writing and speaking
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Pass Level 2 and Local background screenings and drug test

Nice To Haves

• Experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Train and coach in occupational skills, socialization, personal hygiene and daily living.
• Participate as an equal Team member, providing supports and training based on a person-centered approach.
• Transport customers to and from their day program and/or activities.
• Complete required daily notes on customer activities.
• Ensure all communication with customers, families, co-workers and supervisors is professional and courteous.
• Respect the confidentiality of customers, co-workers and the agency in accordance with HIPAA policies.
