About The Position

COME JOIN OUR Independent Living Services TEAM! Supporting individuals in the ORANGE COUNTY AREA. FULL TIME Positions AVAILABLE - APPLY ONLINE TODAY!! Schedule: Monday-Friday (occasional Saturdays) 8:00am-7:00pm(range of hours) Are you someone who loves helping others, is patient, compassionate, and dependable, and wants a meaningful career? Join our team as a Life Skills Mentor/Coach and support individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and confidence in their daily lives.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Able to work and commute in and around the assigned Orange County area
• Able to pass a background check (per state industry standards)
• Computer literacy: MS Word, email, basic data entry

Nice To Haves

• Have experience working in a similar role or field (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

• Coach clients on building independent living skills
• Spend 90% of your time in the field with clients and 10% on admin/documentation
• Assist, monitor, and teach individual(s) with preparation of daytime activities and encourage good personal hygiene and behavior appropriate in their home or out in the community. These activities may include grocery shopping, menu planning, meal preparation, and clean up.
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challenges.
• Help plan, create, and organize tasks and schedules that promote goal achievement for your clients.
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes and quarterly reports.
