Requirements
- Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, valid driver license, driving history that meets company's insurability and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification offered through Bridgeway, along with successfully passing the Direct Support Person (DSP) credential and Medication training program.
- If licensed, required to maintain license requirements.
- Employment with Bridgeway is conditional upon completion of all background checks.
Nice To Haves
- Direct Support Professional (DSP), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) or similar experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Challenge individuals to grow in an independent world.
- Provide on-site job training and support services, service plan implementation, advocacy, linkage, and transportation as needed.
- Attend to personal care needs, such as bathing, hygiene, toileting, grooming etc.
- Ensure communication with supervisor and other team members are clear, concise and honest.
- Complete progress notes, goal reports and other clinical documentation by assigned deadlines.
- Being aware of and confident in dealing with medical and emergent needs e.g. seizures, health concerns, allergies fires, server weather, etc.
- Help to develop cognitive, emotional and life functioning abilities of each consumer for the purpose of rehabilitation and to positivity impact their lives.
