About The Position

The Life Skills Clinician (LSC) will engage with individuals and families to improve their health and wellness, live self-directive lives, and strive to reach their full potential. The LSC monitors and provides care coordination and life skills training and development, in collaboration with the care team, to youth and/or adults with co-occurring mental health and/or substance use disorders- including those with serious and persistent mental illness. Bachelor's Degree required

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Ability to work with clients in various stages of change who need assistance regulating thoughts and emotions.
  • The idea candidate will be able to acknowledge, value and celebrate collective experiences and differences of patients, other caregivers and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary care team by supporting the comprehensive psycho-social assessments.
  • Ability to help clients regulate emotions.
  • Document services provided in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) based on policies and procedures.
  • When necessary, will transport clients in personal vehicles as well as, when necessary, transport client medications to clients.
  • Comply with all applicable Behavioral Health Care Service policies and procedures.
  • Actively involved in professional development and education, including mandatory training.
  • Completes timecards, PTO requests, mileage reports, and other documentation per Community Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
