About The Position

The LifeSavers Packaging Operator at Mars Wrigley is responsible for operating automated and manual manufacturing equipment to package LifeSavers products. This role involves ensuring quality checks, maintaining equipment, and training others in a team-based environment, all while adhering to established manufacturing procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic math skills to calculate ingredients.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and communicate in basic work-related English.
  • Experience with pallet jack operation and film life assist operation.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capability.
  • Experience with computers and touchscreen tablets.
  • Experience with MS Office Products and Outlook.
  • Experience in TPM/Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate automated and/or manual manufacturing equipment for packaging LifeSavers.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the packaging area.
  • Conduct frequent observations of work-in-process and complete required recording, such as Quality Control Point sheets.
  • Independently operate packaging equipment and produce quality wrapped LifeSavers products.
  • Train others on packaging equipment and downstream responsibilities.
  • Participate in Mars Supply Excellence progression through the AM model or Focused Improvement Loss Projects.
