About the Role: Job Summary The Life Safety Inspector performs field-based inspections, testing, and documentation of life safety components throughout the organization to ensure compliance with NFPA codes, DNV standards, CMS regulations, and state/local requirements. This role conducts routine and preventive inspections of fire and smoke barriers, fire/smoke doors, egress pathways, fire-stopping, emergency lighting, exit signage, penetrations, and other life safety features, identifies deficiencies and initiates corrective work orders as needed to maintain regulatory compliance. Works closely with the Life Safety Coordinator to ensure field documentation is accurate and meets regulatory standards, verifies completion of repairs, and monitors the condition of life safety infrastructure across the organization. This role may also assist in on-site support of contractors, participate in hazard risk assessments related to life safety conditions to maintain a continuous state of survey readiness.
