About The Position

The Life Safety Automation Tech I position at Pfizer involves managing maintenance and reliability engineering activities related to life safety systems. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with some relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in a related field.
• Basic computer skills.
• Interest in electricity and electronics.
• Ability to learn new concepts and skills.
• Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and programming major systems such as life safety alarms and emergency notification systems.
• Integrating electronic life safety into building control systems.
• Procurement, assembly, installation, and qualification of hardware, including signal wire routing and connection.
• Checking electrical input/output signals and related wiring for field instrumentation and devices.
• Performing system software installation, configuration, and qualification.
• Maintaining databases to support life safety, security, and communications systems.
• Documenting system information and recording maintenance activities.
• Installing, maintaining, and inspecting system and workstation installations throughout the facility.
• Obtaining State of Michigan Fire Alarm Specialty Technician License within 4 years of employment.
