This position is responsible for the care, transport, and treatment of ill or injured patients in both emergency and non-emergency situations. The role involves relaying and receiving information regarding the patient and their condition, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, departmental policies, safety policies, and hospital policies. The position operates within the scope of a Paramedic as defined by the state of Indiana. The candidate must possess the required knowledge and skills to appropriately care for and manage patients across all age groups, including neonatal, infant, pediatric, adult, and elderly patients. Responsibilities may include driving an ambulance to and from referral hospitals, transporting patients, obtaining consents and authorizations from patients or legal guardians, recording the time of ambulance runs, processing billing and daily reports, and potentially treating patients aboard an aircraft.
