The position involves responding in an emergency medical vehicle to the scene of reported emergencies, nonemergencies, and interhospital transports. The individual will provide efficient and immediate basic life support care to patients at the scene, en route to the hospital, and within the hospital. Responsibilities include performing non-invasive procedures and basic life support functions such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillation (AED), and bone splinting. The role also entails performing specialized life-sustaining procedures in a hospital-based advanced care ambulance service, with a focus on providing immediate emergency care and transport for critically ill or injured patients.
