About The Position

The EMT provides appropriate, efficient, and timely interfacility transport and providing the necessary basic life support care of the sick and injured neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in accordance with hospital policies, local, state, and national standards of practice. Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• TN EMT License
• Valid Driver's License from state of residence

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of high volume 911 system experience
• NREMT
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) and VFK training
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, NRP (can be obtained on orientation)
• S.T.A.B.L.E (can be obtained on orientation)
• PHTLS (required within first year of employment)
• NIMS IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800
• Fundamentals Airway Class (can be obtained on orientation)

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate, efficient, and timely interfacility transport of patients.
• Deliver necessary basic life support care to sick and injured patients.
• Operate critical care ground ambulance equipped with essential tools for advanced care.
• Work as part of a dedicated team providing advanced care to critically ill patients.
