About The Position

The Life Enrichment Manager at Clark Retirement Community is responsible for overseeing and coordinating life enrichment programs within a skilled nursing unit. This role focuses on developing and implementing activities that enhance the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of residents, ensuring that these activities align with individual care plans and promote a positive living environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Supervising experience in a similar role.
  • Certification as an activity director or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire.

  • Ability to develop creative and engaging programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and implement a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents.
  • Develop individualized enrichment plans based on residents' preferences and care needs.
  • Organize special events, holiday celebrations, and outings for residents.
  • Supervise and train a team of life enrichment staff and volunteers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and professional development to team members.
  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and social work to integrate activities into care plans.
  • Monitor residents' responses to activities and adjust programs as needed.
  • Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages resident engagement and connection.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group sessions for residents with specific needs.
  • Assess residents' needs and maintain accurate records of participation and progress.
  • Prepare reports on activity outcomes and track resident engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and manage the life enrichment budget.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve life enrichment programs.
