About The Position

The Life Enrichment Coordinator at Presbyterian Homes & Services - Boutwells Landing is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring life enhancement programming for residents. This role focuses on promoting resident well-being and satisfaction through diverse activities and meaningful pursuits, ensuring a high quality of life for seniors in the community.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, program, implement, and coordinate recreation programming for residents.
  • Previous experience with seniors preferred.
  • Class B license or ability to obtain within six months of hire as required by site.
  • Strong communication skills and insights into resident preferences and needs.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills with residents.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for planned programs.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and positive rapport with residents, staff, families, and volunteers.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and monitor established life enhancement/life enrichment programming for residents.
  • Promote resident well-being and satisfaction by supporting Liberty in all areas of the resident's life.
  • Develop and interpret standards of care, guiding the interdisciplinary team to establish and implement the resident's plan of care.
  • Help improve systems and eliminate barriers to resident-centered care and services.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to implement programs that meet psychosocial and activity needs.
  • Create opportunities for meaningful pursuits, social interaction, and personal routines for residents.
  • Lead and participate in Chat Circles with residents and staff daily.
  • Assist residents with activities of their choice, both group and individual.
  • Plan and participate in outings and special events for residents.
  • Provide one-on-one interaction with residents based on their preferences.
