About The Position

Come join our amazing TEAM… The Village at Proprietors Green (VPG) is a well-established (149-unit) Luxury Apartment Senior Living Community offering a continuum of Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments in Marshfield MA with a strong reputation of caring and empathy. We are part of Welch Senior Living, a family-owned provider of Senior services for over 75 years. Key Responsibilities : This position is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating meaningful activities and programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social wellbeing of Resident living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. This role focuses on person-centered engagement, tailored programming and fostering a supportive, compassionate environment for Residents and their families. Develops and assists in the execution of the diverse range of activities that meet the needs and abilities of the Residents including sensory stimulation, reminiscence therapy, music, art, movement and cognitive games that encourage participation and engagement. Creates monthly calendar, collaborates with MC Director to integrate enrichment activities to meet individual needs and document participation. Budget and reconcile monthly credit card and entertainment purchases with Wellness Director. Must possess Leadership skills to oversee a team of Activity Assistants, including scheduling.

Requirements

  • Must have a High School degree or equivalent.
  • Interest and demonstrated ability to work with the elderly.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work in a hospitality, assisted living or health care setting preferred.
  • Individualized skills in crafts, music, education and physical activities are helpful.
