Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or caregiving preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of older adults with memory impairments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to plan and implement engaging activities suitable for residents with cognitive challenges
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to adapt to residents’ changing needs and preferences

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of dementia and memory care best practices is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, grooming, and personal care as needed
• Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities designed to promote cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being
• Monitor residents’ responses to activities and adjust plans accordingly to ensure engagement and safety
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that encourages social interaction and emotional well-being
• Collaborate with the care team to develop individualized activity plans for residents
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and progress
• Ensure the safety and comfort of residents during all activities
