Outgoing, compassionate and encouraging personality needed as we cater to all levels of resident’s needs, including Alzheimer’s/Dementia. Previous Health Care experience preferred, but not mandatory. Duties include: Facilitating the activity on the calendar mainly in bridges dementia Assisted Living Unit. Work with Volunteers and guide as needed interviewing new admits and assisting with assessments, filling out any necessary progress notes, documenting activities, construct individualized activity care plan for residents, continually evaluate resident’s participation in events. Assist in writing brief reports on resident’s activities for their care conference as needed. Must feel comfortable speaking to family members and answering any questions. Creativity and use of resources are a must as you will be assisting in programming new activities that meet your resident’s interests. Candidate should be highly motivated, resourceful of time, organized, flexible and team oriented. Working with the Assisted Living Life Enrichment Director to set up schedule of activities in Bridges Unit. Position requires considerable walking and pushing residents in wheelchairs to activities. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Position will primarily be in Bridges- Assisted Living Dementia/Alzheimer’s Unit but may require assistance for other AL events as needed along with any other job duties as assigned by the Assisted Living Life Enrichment Director. Business casual attire with comfortable shoes, and professional minded. Hours: 16-24 hrs per week. Monday – Friday w/flexible schedule
