About The Position

The Life Enrichment Director (LED) is responsible for coordinating, directing, planning and conducting the life enrichment and resident activity programs. The position involves implementing a creative life enrichment program based on the Celebrations philosophy of wellness, planning and implementing a life enrichment calendar and newsletter each month, and collaborating with other directors to enhance resident engagement and wellness. The LED also coordinates transportation for residents, utilizes technology to track engagement, develops person-centered programming, and maintains the life enrichment budget and supplies.

Requirements

  • Previous experience transporting residents preferred.
  • One or more years of direct programming experience with older adults is preferred.
  • Must be able to meet insurance qualifications to operate company vehicles including passenger vans and bus.
  • Valid commercial Class B driver's license (CDL) may be required by local, state and federal law and regulations.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implements a creative life enrichment program based on the Celebrations philosophy of wellness.
  • Plans and implements life enrichment calendar and newsletter each month utilizing Celebrations wellness programming.
  • Collaborates with Community Relations Director, Wellness Coach, and Executive Director in development of calendar for special events and themes.
  • Coordinates transportation of residents and operates van or bus for events and appointments.
  • Implements Linked Senior technology into daily programming and encourages resident independent usage.
  • Utilizes Linked Senior Context to track resident attendance and engagement.
  • Develops person-centered programming by assisting in the completion of Celebrations documents and programs.
  • Partners with Expressions Director to create and lead monthly programming for the Expressions neighborhood.
  • Maintains life enrichment budget, equipment, and supplies.
  • Participates in the review of individual Residents' Service Plans and documents life enrichment progress.
  • Trains staff on the importance of life enrichment and Linked Senior devices.
  • Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers.
  • Participates in planning resident move-outs with management team.
  • Develops community resources and contacts to enhance the quality of life for residents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
