About The Position
Tuscan Gardens of Venetia Bay, a premier assisted living community in Venice, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistant specializing in recreational therapy for seniors. Requirements
- Previous experience working with seniors in recreational therapy, activities, or a related field preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs and schedules
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to engaging residents
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work Thursday and Friday from 12 PM to 5 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM
Responsibilities
- Assist the Life Enrichment Coordinator in planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging activities and recreational programs for seniors
- Support residents in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment
- Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and mental stimulation
- Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of residents
- Maintain activity supplies and ensure the activity areas are clean and organized
- Document resident participation and provide feedback to the team to improve program offerings
